We’ve been using the SoundSticks II for years, so it came with a good amount of surprise and excitement when we came across these today. There’s something special about the SoundSticks. Unlike most speakers, they can be considered true art. So much that the previous iteration (SoundSticks II) were part of a permanent collection at the New York City Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). The newest SoundSticks III should be able to boast the same claim with their incredible industrial design. On top of their sleek, modern look, the three-piece, 2.1 channel speakers sound awesome too with a 40 watt amplifier and a six-inch down-firing subwoofer. They feature touch controls for volume and mute, and use a standard 3.5mm stereo audio input, so they’ll play nice with nearly any device you throw at them. The SoundSticks III cost only $169.95 and are available now at Harman Kardon.
