An iPad app that is based on Tokyo’s Houxo Que art? Sick. He collaborated with Granimator™ for a wallpaper-creating iPad app pack. Granimator has collaborated with over 50 graphic artists from around the world to make this app happen and Que Houxo’s is just one of the packs you can buy. Que Houxo’s pack is special because they brought a film team to Tokyo to watch him work before they programmed him into the App. The guy’s an unbelievable artist. In the last year, Que Houxo has received a lot of recognition from art magazines. His “Existence of Light” exhibition put him in the spotlight last May, when he did a series of live paintings for an audience and live DJ.
More recently, he did the window display at the TopShop in Oxford Circus in London. He started his career as a painter in 1999 with a background in graffiti and has been working on canvases, live-paintings and murals since. His main series of works frequently referencing flowers, titled “Day and Night”, are luminous installations using florescent paints and UV lights. Imagine him as a live performer at Ultra. That would be unreal. You can buy this App Pack for your iPad on iTunes from Granimator. Check out all his art on his flickr.
