The Kings of Leon’s new album Come Around Sundown drops in a week (10/19). While we might prefer the grittiness of Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak, it’s easy to agree on the fact that the band has sold out a bit with this album and 2008′s Only By The Night. However, they did what they set out to do: become the biggest rock band in the world, and they’ve succeeded admirably. This latest album is sure to perpetuate that fame with radio-ready tracks like Radioactive and Back Down South. It is aways great to hear new work from one of our favorite bands. Sell out or not, they are still leaps and bounds better than most of the trash that you hear on the radio and definitely worth checking out. Come Around Sundown can be previewed at their website.
Be sure to check out the video for Radioactive after the jump – the opening rif is quite face melting.
