Herbert Schier: “Velskoen” Handmade Shoes

SchierBrown L7 Herbert Schier: Velskoen Handmade Shoes

Check out these Velskoen (“fell-skoon”) desert boots. They’re hand made in Namibia and are limited to 30 pairs a day by the 8 craftsmen who create them. The boots are not made out of your traditional leather, but instead crafted from vegtable-dyed Kudu (we had to Google it too). They come in 3 colors – red, black, and brown. For only $140, these hand made Kudu kicks are pretty hard to beat. They’re available at Hickorees Hard Goods Store. Check out more images after the jump. You will be happy you did.

UPDATE: Shier Shoes has since launched their own site. Check them out at schiershoes.com to stay up to date with products and learn more about the company.
