If you haven’t seen 2008′s That’s It, That’s All yet, you’re missing out. It’s one of the most visually stunning movies you’ll ever see and you can bet the upcoming The Art of Flight, produced by the same company, won’t disappoint either. The movie is set for release in September 2011.
Check out the music video for the Damien Marley & Nas track Patience. The highly stylized video was directed, shot, and produced by Nabil, who has previously worked with Kanye, Common, Bruno Mars, and plenty others. The video has a few crown & throne moments reminiscent of Kanye’s Power video, but don’t yell “ripoff!” as his official opinion on the piece is “super dope.” If you like the track, make sure to check out the entire album: Distant Relatives.
Dan and Pat from The Black Keys, Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), novelist Jennifer Egan, and broadway star Patti LuPone got together to discuss ‘popular culture’ for Time. The piece, created by Christian Weber, was commissioned for Time Magazines’s “Best of 2010” series. Enjoy. Thanks to “The Baby” for the tip.

We’ve seen a lot of impressive skate videos, but none like this. Brett Novak‘s Kilian Martin: A Skate Regeneration has a style of its own, incorporating parkour-esque jumps, handstands, one-footed landings, and spins previously attempted only by figure skaters… all in beautiful HD. The impressive three minute film was also shot with no sponsors or commercial funding. Check out the video after the break, and a big thanks to The Distinct Life for the find.
Cowboys. And aliens. Cowboys… and Aliens? Doesn’t sound right, but it sure seems right in this trailer. Starring Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, Cowboys & Aliens is set for release in Summer 2011.
